EDITORIAL TEAM
Editorial team started the whole process, because their first task was to write a brief for everybody. After gathering ideas from all the groups, they organized an online voting, which was divided into two rounds, where the topic of love and music were eventually chosen.

When the Brief was published, everybody started to work on their personal spreads. Even though there were strict deadlines for final illustrations, unfortunately not everybody was able to follow them. It made some work slower, but it was not very critical.

Kamilla's feedback:
So you came up with a concept, and it works as a concept, but it’s a bit tricky one.
The theme of love is a great one to unite people, as it's universal and we all have something to say about it. But at the same time it’s hugely overused.
Kamilla's feedback:
Better say:
“Each artist has to submit
1. An illustration (1 page)
2. A comics (1 page)”

If that’s what you mean.
Also please talk to the design department about more specific requirements.
(Even before preparing files for riso there is some obligatory stuff)
- For comics - margins 15 cm each side
- For full bleed illustrations - 5 mm bleed
- All images 300 dpi
Kamilla's feedback:
“You need to create two artworks, specifically a page spread with an illustration and a comics piece in a collaborative zine”.
What do you mean by “a page spread”? If you mean 1 illustration + 1 comics on one spread by each artist, write “we need a spread from each artist with 1-page illustration and 1-page comic story”, otherwise it’s confusing.
Kamilla's feedback:
So you have to develop your idea into something more specific, otherwise your zine will be lost in the ocean of many other similar things. For example, break your publication into sections of different relationship stages (first date, first kiss/living together or marriage/breakup or divorce).
Or, show different stages of life - early years, middle age, elderly love. Or maybe draw some interesting parallels, work in pairs as “partners”. These are just suggestions, you can think of something else.
Kamilla's feedback:
Also, you have a name for a brief, a brief and a concept. But you can come up with the name for the zine later, maybe after more research or brainstorming with the group - it will depend on the final concept that you’ll choose.
